2024年9月25日下午，启贤住宿书院“一站式”学生社区在 B008 举办以“The world is a book”为主题的英语角活动。学风专员寇淑雅老师和部分 24 级新生参与了本次活动。活动由王腾主持。

On the afternoon of 25th September 2024, the One-Stop Student Community of Qixian Residential College held an English corner activity in B008 with the theme of ‘The world is a book’. Ms Kou Shuya, Academic Affairs Officer, and some of the Year 24 students participated in this activity. The activity was hosted by Wang Teng.

活动伊始，主持人王腾流利介绍活动后宣布开始，在自由讨论环节中，大家围绕旅行相关问题积极分享，带来了丰富交流体验。此次英语角内容丰富，涵盖了许多方面，大家通过英语交流彼此熟悉，从害羞腼腆到大胆说出口，不仅是英语口语的提升与锻炼，更多带来的是个人能力的展现与自信地表达，活动结束后也进行了合影留念。

At the beginning of the activity, the host Wang Teng fluently introduced the activity and announced the start. In the free discussion session, everyone actively shared around travel-related issues, which brought a rich communication experience. The English Corner was rich in content and covered many aspects, everyone got familiar with each other through English communication, from shyness to boldness, not only the enhancement and exercise of spoken English, but also the personal ability to show and express themselves confidently, and a group photo was taken at the end of the activity.

英语角作为启贤住宿书院学风建设的重要一环，其实践意义显著。它不仅为学生搭建了展示英语能力的平台，还鼓励学生积极参与，通过日常交流锻炼口语，深化语言理解。参与其中，学生不仅能提升自我，还能在团队合作中培养社交技巧，为全面发展奠定良好基础。希望每位学子踊跃参与，共同营造积极向上的学习氛围！

The English Corner, as an important part of the construction of academic style in Qixian Residential College, is of significant practical significance. It not only builds a platform for students to demonstrate their English ability, but also encourages them to actively participate in it, to practise speaking and deepen their language understanding through daily communication. By participating in the programme, students not only improve themselves, but also develop social skills through teamwork, laying a good foundation for all-round development.
