为进一步提升国际学生中华优秀传统文化感知，弘扬中华优秀书法文化，促进国际文化交流，丰富学生校园生活，国际教育学院“环球友驿”一站式服务中心联合人文社科学部特别推出Hi-Touch中华优秀传统文化体验系列活动。本期主题为“书法绘世界”，特邀知名书法家周斌博士亲临指导，带领大家领略中国书法的独特魅力，感受笔墨间的文化哲思。

In order to further enhance international students’ interests in traditional Chinese culture, promote the excellent Chinese calligraphy culture and enrich students’ campus life, the “Global Friendship at HIT” One-stop Service Center of the College of International Education , in conjunction with Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has specially launched a series of activities to experience the excellent traditional Chinese cultures. The theme of this issue is “Calligraphy Painting the World”, and the well-known calligrapher Dr. ZHOU Bin is invited to guide you to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese calligraphy and feel the cultural philosophy between brush pen and ink.

Whether you are a beginner in calligraphy or a culture lover, this event will provide you with a platform for Chinese interaction and edutainment. Let’s write together and meet friends via ink!

【嘉宾介绍Guest Introduction】

周斌，博士，现为中国人民大学中国书法与传统文化融合创新中心主任，上海交通大学二级教授，人文学院长聘教授、博士生导师，中国书法文化国际传播研究所所长。

兼任教育部中国书法教育指导委员会委员、“书法小联合国”（联合国NGO）主席、国际儒学联合会理事，中华文化发展促进会理事，上海市民俗文化学会会长、中国书法家协会会员（1990）、上海市书法家协会常务理事等。

在美国耶鲁大学、联合国等重要机构讲学，被联合国秘书长潘基文誉为：“周斌教授不仅是书法大师，更是书法文化大使，将书法艺术作为中西方文化交流的纽带，加强了世界各国人民的交流与理解，为世界和平做出了独特的贡献。”

ZHOU Bin, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of the Center for the Integration and Innovation of Chinese Calligraphy and Traditional Culture at Renmin University of China, a Second-level Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Humanities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Director of the Institute of International Communication of Chinese Calligraphy Culture.

He is also a member of the Steering Committee of Chinese Calligraphy Education under the Ministry of Education, the Chairman of the “Calligraphy Little United Nations” (an NGO of United Nations), a council member of the International Confucian Federation, a council member of the China Society for the Promotion of Cultural Development, the President of the Shanghai Folk Culture Society, a council member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association (1990), and an executive council member of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association.

He has lectured at Yale University, the United Nations and other important institutions, and has been praised by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon: “Professor Zhou Bin is not only a master of calligraphy, but also an ambassador of calligraphy culture. By using the art of calligraphy as a link between Chinese and Western cultural exchanges, he strengthened the exchanges and understanding of people around the world, and made unique contributions to world peace.”
